Vince has been a licensed massage therapist (LMT) for 5 years, having received his license from Bellevue School of Massage. He utilizes a unique blend of specialized techniques including myofascial work, muscle energy techniques (MET), joint unwinding, Thai and Swedish massage techniques.

 

He works closely with AceMed's skilled team of Naturopathic doctors to provide a holistic approach to healing. Vince is continuing his education in massage and other physical medicine techniques as a Fascial Counterstrain practitioner in training. This technique is a method designed to release spasm in all tissues of the human body. Every organ, nerve, artery, muscle, ligament, tendon, vein, and lymphatic vessel can actively spasm and produce pain as a natural protective response to injury. Once this reflex is triggered it can persist, spread and or form hundreds of tender points. The use of Fascial counterstrain technique works to release the tissue in spams and soothe the corresponding tender point by gently unloading the injured structure. This approach involves gentle repositioning and compression or shortening of strained structures to effect a therapeutic release. This results in released tension and relieved pain which he verifies by rechecking for the previously present tenderpoint.
