A naturopathic doctor (ND) is a licensed physician trained to diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of health conditions using a blend of conventional medicine and evidence-informed natural therapies. NDs attend four-year, accredited medical schools where they study biomedical sciences, clinical diagnosis, and pharmacology—similar to conventional medical training—alongside nutrition, botanical medicine, lifestyle counseling, and other integrative approaches.
In Washington State, naturopathic doctors are licensed as primary care providers and can order labs and imaging, prescribe medications, and provide both acute and chronic care. What sets NDs apart is their focus on treating the root cause of illness, taking time to understand the whole person, and emphasizing preventive care and long-term wellness.
At ACE Medicine, Dr. Sullivan combines his background in naturopathic medicine with advanced training and experience in intravenous therapies, pharmacology, and complex chronic illness management to offer thoughtful, comprehensive care tailored to each patient.
